Similar to the Michelin Guide, The World’s 50 Best Restaurants ranks world-class restaurants in many countries but does not include any restaurants in Israel. The guide does however have a Discovery section which now includes seven bars and restaurants in Tel Aviv and one in Jerusalem, all of which are non-kosher.
Tel Aviv
- Bellboy Bar, a cocktail bar inside Hotel B Berdichevsky
- Butler Bar, a small bar, inside Bellboy Bar which is inside Hotel B Berdichevsky
- HaBasta, bar and food inside Shuk HaCarmel (Carmel Market)
- Imperial Craft Cocktail Bar, a small cocktail bar inside the Imperial Hotel
- M25, a small meat restaurant inside Shuk HaCarmel
- Milgo & Milbar, a modern Israeli restaurant inside a Bauhaus building
- Pastel, a modern Israeli brasserie inside the Tel Aviv Museum of Art complex
Jerusalem
- Machneyuda, a modern Israeli restaurant with a lively atmosphere
Hopefully more restaurants will be added to the list in the future. To receive updates by email please subscribe to my newsletter.
