Pesach Restaurants in Israel 2024

A Summary of Kosher Pesach Restaurants Around Israel for 2024.

On seder night, we ask why this night is different from all other nights; We do not need to ask why this Pesach is different from all other Pesachs. Several restaurants around Israel have only just reopened as many army reservists have returned to work, and many hotel restaurants remain closed until after Pesach. Although some tourists will be here for Pesach, it will be a fraction of the amount that normally is. In addition, there are only a few nights of Chol Hamoed for eating out, so it is not worthwhile for many restaurants to open.  The good news is that there is still a good selection of restaurants that will be kosher for Pesach dotted around the country.

DISCLAIMER—If you do not eat kitniyot, do not rely on this list without checking with the restaurant directly. I have tried to provide as much accurate information as possible and will continue to update this list until Pesach is over.  Please remember that this list is put together as a voluntary service.

I also highly recommend making reservations in advance. If you have any updated information, please comment below or send me a message. If you would like to share your experience at any of these Pesach restaurants or discover any new or different information, please share in a comment below or share a review on Restaurant Club Israel on Facebook.

Pesach Wineries

I am sure there are more wineries open over Pesach, but these are the ones that I have checked. It is recommended to book in advance.

  • Alexander Winery (Badatz) is a winery in Beit Yizhak, near Netanya. During Pesach, wine tastings are accompanied by cheese platters with matzah and pickled vegetables.
  • Barkan Winery is one of Israel’s largest wineries, with a huge visitors center in Kibbutz Hulda near Rishon LeZion.
  • Domaine du Castel in Mevaseret Zion is open over Pesach.
  • Ella Valley Winery in Kibbutz Netiv Halamed Heh is open as usual over Pesach.  There is the option to enjoy a wine tasting in the winery or order a picnic basket that includes a map of picnic spots in the area.
  • Flam Winery is set in Moshav Eshtaol but could just as easily be in Tuscany or the French countryside.
  • Golan Heights Winery in Katzrin will have wine tours and picnic baskets.
  • Gush Etzion Winery (Mehadrin, No-Kitniyot) has a dairy restaurant inside the winery. During Pesach, the cafe will serve cheese, wine, and desserts.
  • Gvaot Winery is located in Givat Harel near Ariel. It offers views of the Samaria landscape and Nahal Shiloh. During Pesach, the winery is open, serving cheese platters and offering wine tastings.
  • Jerusalem Wineries has a tasting room located in the Yemin Moshe windmill in Jerusalem. I particularly like their Windmill Project series.
  • Jezreel Valley Winery is very small, and there is not much to see, but the setting is lovely. There will be a kosher for Pesach food truck next to the winery.
  • La Forêt Blanche Winery in Moshav Beit Yatir, south of Hevron.
  • Mony Winery is located on a hillside of Givat Shemesh near Bet Shemesh. Outside the winery is a shaded terrace with numerous picnic tables and wonderful views of the surrounding countryside.
  • Netofa Winery is located in Mitzpe Netofa in the Galil. Food can be ordered to accompany wine tastings.
  • Nevo Winery is in Moshav Mata in the Judean Hills. Tastings can be booked online. It is a very cute winery, and I really like its wines.
  • Tabor Winery is a medium-sized winery in Kfar Tavor. I don’t like their table wines, but they do produce a few good high-end wines.
  • Tishbi Winery (Kitniyot) has a dairy restaurant in the main winery complex between Binyamina and Zichron Yaakov. I have eaten at the winery over Pesach. It gets very busy, but they have a great Pesach menu. The photos below are from Pesach.
  • Tulip Winery is a winery in Kiryat Tivon with a cafe and large indoor and outdoor seating area.
  • Tura Winery is located in Rechelim in the northern West Bank. The visitor’s center serves cheese platters with dips and matzah.
  • Tzora Vineyards in Kibbutz Tzora is one of my favorite wineries to visit. Wine tastings can be booked on the website.
  • Tzuba Winery  – I didn’t have a great experience when I visited this winery but I do like the wines.
