New Kosher Restaurants in Israel

Here are the newest kosher restaurant openings across Israel for Summer 2026, including Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, the Central District, and Northern Israel, ranging from casual cafes to chef-driven dining spots.

New Kosher Restaurants in Jerusalem

• Babado is a meat street-food restaurant on Derech Beit Lechem in Jerusalem, serving schnitzel baguette, meatball pita, shwarma, and more.
• Baguet Hatarnegol is a meat-sandwich restaurant at Harim Mall in Gush Etzion.
• Cafe Salvador in Cinema City Jerusalem is now open on Saturday night.
• Casa Vina (Badatz Beit Yosef) is a dairy restaurant in Avner Winery in Givat Zeev, open all day during the week, for breakfast and lunch on Friday and after Shabbat.
• Gelateria Crema (Mehadrin) is an artisanal Italian gelato store on Rehov Yaffo, near the entrance to the closed shuk, making classic Italian flavors, both dairy and parev.
• Halahmaniya is a meat sandwich restaurant in Shuk Machane Yehuda, originally from Rishon LeZion. The signature dish is schnitzel challah rolls, but they also sell challah filled with steak, meatballs, or aruk (Iraqi potato patties), char-grilled potatoes and sweet potatoes, Moroccan cigars, and dips.

• Hamigdal is open at night as a wine bar from 6 pm.
• Helen Family Bakers (Mehadrin) in Jerusalem is now open for dinner.
• JLM Sushi by 1868 has reopened. I went for a late dinner and drinks, and the sushi was as good as ever.

• Komzitz is a meat-carnival restaurant in the Ein Hemed Nature Reserve, open twice a week. Diners sit at long tables surrounded by the forest, served smoked and grilled meats while enjoying fire shows and live music.  The feast cost NIS 295 per person.
• Maleo is an Asian meat restaurant on the ground floor of a stunning new complex by the Jacko’s Group in the Wohl Rose Garden in the Kiryat Ha’alom complex. It is currently open for events only.
• Mifgash Ticho is a grilled-meat restaurant at the Ticho House Museum, part of the 1868 group, replacing Eser. The menu includes Lahma Bi Ajeen, Veal Schnitzel, Smash Burger, and Merguez Sausages.

• Mula Aquarium is a cafe in the Aquarium, the sister restaurant to Mula Botani next to the Botanical Gardens.
• Rosie is a dairy cafe and pizza restaurant on the top floor of the new Rose Garden building, accessible from the gardens, with a rooftop bar offering views over the city.

New Kosher Restaurants in Central Israel

• 26 Neapolitan Style (Mehadrin) is a pizza and pasta restaurant in Herzliya Pituach, serving Neapolitan pizza and fresh pasta. Interesting pizza flavors include burnt eggplant with labaneh; roasted sweet corn with parmesan, zucchini, stracciatella, and pesto; and goat cheese, parmesan, mozzarella, and pesto jam.

• Hasneh Haboer (The Burning Bush) is a grilled-meat skewer restaurant at the Paz Gas Station in Green Village Junction in Ramat HaSharon.  

• Ines (Mehadrin) is a steak restaurant in Petach Tikva with space for private events.

• Le House of Asia is an Asian meat restaurant in Airport City that is now kosher.
• Los Tacos is a Mexican restaurant in Ra’anana, owned by a Mexican olim, serving tacos, churros, and cocktails.
• Passador, the Argentinian grilled-meat restaurant, has opened a branch at the BSR Towers in Petach Tikva.

• The Yacht is a new hotel in the Herzliya Marina with various culinary options overlooking the marina and the sea :
  • La Marée is the hotel’s breakfast restaurant overlooking the marina.
  • Skipper’s Bar is a cafe and bar in the hotel lobby.
  • Club Marine (Not Kosher) is a Mediterranean-style club restaurant led by Chef Avi Biton and the Cafe Popular group, due to open soon.
• Wine & Vibe is a wine bar in the Teresa Complex in Modi’in, serving pizza, cheese platters, and other dishes to pair with its extensive wine menu.

New Kosher Restaurants in Northern Israel

• Diwan is a modern Yemenite dairy restaurant in Pardes Hanna’s Old Market, serving modern dishes with Yemenite flavors, alongside traditional dishes.

• Oli by Tosha (Mehadrin) is an Italian food truck at Achziv Railway Park, run by the owners of Tosha Bakery.
• Panda Wok is an Asian restaurant in Kiryat Motzkin that serves classic wok dishes and specialties, including Korean corn dogs.
• Pomelo is a neighborhood cafe in Pardes Hanna.
• Rotto is an Italian restaurant in Nahariya with a dairy and fish menu that includes arancini, handmade pizza and pasta, tiramisu, and lemon pie.
• Shafiq House of Knafe in Daliyat El Carmel has opened a Druze experience visitors’ center offering knafe-making workshops, a museum about the Druze community, and a cafe and patisserie serving knafe, mamoul, and other sweet treats.

New Kosher Restaurants in Southern Israel

• Adraba (Mehadrin) is a steakhouse on the Dan Promenade in Eilat, replacing Moses. It is owned by Moran and Shlomi Amar, the former owners of  Fifth Avenue, a delicious restaurant that closed during Covid.

• Almi is a coffee cart on Moshav Bnei Re’em near Ashdod with a menu that includes pear & camembert roll, egg salad challah,  Greek salad,  cinnamon bun, strawberry matcha, caramel iced coffee, and more.
• Asia Eilat is an Asian rooftop restaurant and lounge in the Seven Stars complex in Eilat.

• CE2 is a newly renovated Dubai-inspired fish restaurant and rooftop bar overlooking the sea in Ashdod, led by Chef Idan “Pompia” Bushari, the former chef at Kilometrage.
• Gazour (Mehadrin) is a pizza bar in Ashkelon.
• OM Café is a cafe in Ashkelon by the Oren Meshi group serving all-day breakfast.

New Non-Kosher Restaurants in Jerusalem

• Cafe Basimta (Dairy not supervised) is an artisanal cafe in a courtyard between Agripas and Yaffo Street, open on Shabbat. The menu includes various types of coffee, matcha, sandwiches, pastries, and more.

New Non-Kosher Restaurants in Tel Aviv

• Baracchino is an Italian-themed coffee cart in Marom Neve Park in Ramat Gan, serving coffee by day and aperitifs by night, along with arancini, sandwiches, and sweet treats.
• Bar Martinet is a cocktail bar next to Abri, with drinks by Ori Gofer of Gofer Alternative Foamer and food by Chef Adar Lotan of Abri. It is also open during the day as the Martinet Breakfast Club.
• Beach Craft is a fast-food restaurant on Gordon Beach, under the Sheraton Hotel, serving pizza, hot dogs, and over 100 craft beers.
• Bijoux is a wine bar by Chef Eyal Shani in Har Sinai Alley, in partnership with Maison Perrier, serving canned cocktails from Maison Perrier, 4 wines by the glass for NIS 42, and a variety of hand rolls.
• Coffee Shop 51 is a coffee shop in Gan HaHashmal on Levontin. The cafe’s original branch is in Givatayim, and a second branch is in Tel Aviv’s Yad Eliyahu suburb.
• De Box is a cafe in wellness club De Club, serving coffee, matcha, smoothies, and healthy drinks and snacks.
• Dopo is a cafe in Florentin serving popular drinks such as matcha latte, cold brew, cheese toast, tuna melt, scones, and chocolate nemesis. There is a large communal table for laptop users, along with many small tables. For now, it is open during the day.

• Fugazi is a cafe and bar in Nachalat Binyamin serving coffee and matcha, as well as alcoholic drinks and live DJ sets.
• Gelalucci by Colalucci is an artisanal gelato store by Gelato World Champion Sergio Colalucci and the Cafe Cafe group.
• House of Mix & Matcha is a matcha cafe in Nachalat Binyamin, by the ceremonial matcha brand Mix & Matcha. The cafe serves different matcha drinks and also sells Ceremonial Grade Matcha, Vanilla Matcha, Strawberry Matcha, and Ceremonial Grade Shizuoka Matcha powder.
• Jagger is a butcher and a grilled-meat restaurant in Ramat Aviv Mall, the sister restaurant to Jagger in Kiryat Ono.Lobby 34 is a bar and restaurant on Nachalat Binyamin, next to and owned by Colbo 34 and Chef Matan Alkalay.
• Limi Cafe is a cafe in the Beit Hana Complex in Ramat Aviv, owned by Beta Caffe.
• Madhim Sum is an Asian street food stall in Shuk HaCarmel.
• Melach Maim is a traditional Israeli restaurant on Gordon Beach, serving grilled meat and fish.

• Miya is a wine bar on Geula Street with a bar snack menu.
• Oscar’s is a schnitzel restaurant on Park HaMesila from Chef Tal Rashevsky, aka the Pasta Nazi. The only options on the menu are corn, chicken, sirloin, or pork schnitzel with mashed potatoes, pititim, or fries.
• Pomo Restaurant, an Italian restaurant in Ramat HaHayal from the owners of Bar Italia, Cafe Napo and Capri, has reopened after a two-month renovation.

• Pizza Mount Sinai has opened a branch in Sarona Market.
• Bar Pronto is a bar and restaurant on Herzl Street in South Tel Aviv by Chef Moshiko Gamlieli of Mona in Jerusalem and Bar 51 and Bob in Tel Aviv.
• Simple Meat Sandwich is a meat sandwich store in Givatayim.

• The Sataf is a French cafe and bakery in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel complex, with a large indoor seating area and a terrace overlooking the sea. The original branch is located in Sataf in the Jerusalem Hills.
• Tomo is a nigiri sushi bar in Sarona Market by Chef Hmodi Haj Yehya (Hamudi San), the sister restaurant to Tomo Asian Kitchen in Taybe. In addition to nigiri, the menu includes yakitori, sashimi, and maki rolls.

• Trattoria Una is an Italian pasta restaurant in Ramat Aviv from the owners of A.K.A restaurant.
• Wine House is a wine bar in the courtyard of Yaffo Tel Aviv by Chef Haim Cohen, with a Happy Hour of 50% off all wines from 5-7 pm. Chef Cohen has announced plans to open a bar next to his kosher restaurant, Mer-yam.

New Non-Kosher Restaurants in Central Israel

• Allavino is a wine bar in Rehovot, next to and owned by Alla Pala Pizza Place.
• Basalon is a beach club restaurant on Dalida Beach in Ashkelon with a dairy and fish menu, open every day until 1 am.
• Cafe Cezar is a cafe and bakery in the Rehovot Science Park, owned by Cezar Bistro & Bar. The pastries and cakes are baked on site, and the sandwiches and salads are made in the bistro kitchen.
• Goz’ Goz’ is a burger restaurant in the Dor Alon gas station near the entrance to Tel Yitzhak, from the owners of Gouje & Danielle. Tragically, Chef Haim Kalumiti, who opened the restaurant for the group, was killed in a terrorist attack in Kochav Yair.
• Hendale in Moshav Givat Hen, near Herzliya, has reopened after renovations as a self-service restaurant with the option of eating in or take away.
• L’ mAyA is a Latin restaurant in Kfar Saba serving a variety of dishes from South and Central America.

• Lento is an Italian bar and restaurant in Shefayim by Chef Motti Sofer former chef of La Repubblica.
• Sea of August is a beach restaurant on the Rishon LeZion promenade with a varied Mediterranean menu and live music and DJs at night.

New Non-Kosher Restaurants in Northern Israel

• Bullish is a meat-sandwich and meat-platter restaurant in Zichron Yaakov.
• Carma Caffe is a coffee cart surrounded by vineyards in Kfar Baruch in the Galil.
• Holy Moses Truck is a new food truck on Achziv Beach from the Moses burger chain.
• Kai is a Thai restaurant in Zichron Yaakov Mall serving traditional Thai dishes such as Som Tam Salad, Pad Thai, and Pad Kaprao.

• KvishTish is the little sister of the popular burger restaurant Kvish 90.
• Lululeesh is a grilled-meat restaurant on Hanamal Street in Downtown Haifa, by Chef Hmodi Okala of Raseef 33.
• Natanzon is a gourmet burger restaurant in Azrieli Mall Haifa.

• Talek Cafe from Talpiot Market has opened a branch in Downtown Haifa, in addition to the branch in Carmel Center.

New Non-Kosher Restaurants in Southern Israel

• Gilwa is a bakery on Moshav Kochav Michael near Kiryat Gat, serving homemade breads and pastries.

Israel Food News

Tzohar Kashrut has been granted official authorization to issue kashrut certification under Israeli law, but the Religious Services Ministry is already disputing this decision.

Israeli Wine & Spirits News

• The Negev has officially been recognized as a wine appellation.  The Judean Hills was the first region in Israel to receive appellation recognition in 2020. Other appellations include Champagne, Chianti, Bordeaux, and Napa Valley.
• Tavlin Distillery, based in Har Tuv Industrial Zone (near Bet Shemesh), has won a Bronze Award for The Gin Guide global gin awards.

International Kosher News

• Miznon by Eyal Shani has opened a branch in Barclays Center in Brooklyn, and Shani announced plans to open Malka (Kosher) in SIXTY Beverly Hills Hotel.
• Mutra in North Miami is the first kosher restaurant to earn a Michelin Star.
• Oven Meat by Carmelli is a new kosher restaurant in Golders Green, London, serving meat pastries and sandwiches, including lahmajun, meat burekas, arais, pulled beef, minute steak focaccia, and more.

Future Restaurant Openings in Israel

• 9 Cabin (Kosher) is a modern Israeli meat restaurant due to open in Rishon LeZion
• A.K.A. restaurant on Nahalat Binyamin will open a branch on Duvdevan Street in Kiryat Ono.
• Cafe Gan Sipur will open a branch in Hayakron Park in Tel Aviv.
• Cafe Pitzi (Kosher), by Chef Haim Cohen, will open a branch in the historic Beit HaBe’er building in Ramat HaSharon. 
• Magazzino Bakery will open its fourth branch in Ramat HaSharon at the end of July.
• Renard is a meat restaurant due to open on the 49th floor of the Azrieli Round Tower, in place of 2C. The restaurant is owned by the Lagziel brothers, who run The Meat Man butcher group, and will undergo a NIS 9 million renovation first.
• Oved BaKfar in Or Yehuda will open a branch in Tel Aviv called Oved BaIr and a takeaway branch in Kiryat Ono later this year.
• Shuk HaNamal has new owners and will close after the summer to undergo a NIS 15 million renovation. New restaurants expected to open after the renovation include a meat restaurant from Iwo’s Butcher.
• Simo (Kosher) is a grilled meat restaurant on the Tel Aviv beach promenade.
• The George Hotel will be opening a kosher restaurant run by Chef Omri Cohen, the former chef of West Side at the Royal Beach Hotel. The hotel is planning to transition to kosher status, but it is not kosher yet.

Chef News

• Chef Bar Tzanger is now the chef of Mashya in the Mendele Street Hotel. He was previously the chef of The Jaffa Hotel and won the TV show The Game of Chefs.
• Chef Oren Asido has become the chef of Amaya (Kosher) in Rehovot.
• Chef Yonatan Roshfeld has become the chef at Maree Sky Lounge (Kosher) at the Vert Lagoon Hotel in Netanya and Poupée (Kosher) in Tel Aviv.

My Recent Restaurant Reviews

• A fun Thursday night dinner with friends at Chota, sitting at the bar, watching the chefs at work. We shared a variety of dishes, including Spicy Tuna, Shishbarak, Amberjack Tartar, Crispy Thai Fish, and a delicious Berry & Almond Tart to finish.

• I chose Dolphin Yam for a business lunch in Jerusalem, sitting outside on the pedestrianized street.  While the food was good overall, the fish was slightly overcooked, and I felt it was expensive for what it was.

• An afternoon snack at Hamigdal with friends from Raanana who were on their way to a tekes at The Kotel.

• I was honored to be invited to the opening party for Maleo and Rosie, two new restaurants from the Jacko Group. Find out more in this reel.
• Loved attending the Myyain Wine Fair at the First Station and the Boutique Winery Fair at Soreq Winery. Highlights included:
  • Susu, Oblass Wine
  • Cabernet Sauvignon 2023, Kuzari Wines
