  • Josh’s is a food bar in Shuk Levinsky that serves various cocktails and bar food.
  • Juniper is a botanical cocktail bar in Shuk Levinsky owned by the Ma Pau Group.
  • Kawaii Japanese Cafe is a Japanese-Korean bakery owned by the neighboring store, Kimcheese.
  • Kimura-ya is a Japanese restaurant with 200 branches in Japan, serving a traditional izakaya-style dining experience including wagyu shabu shabu, yakitori, sukiyaki, ramen, and sushi.
  • Koko Neko is a Japanese restaurant in Florentine that serves gyoza, ramen, pickles, and fluffy pancakes.
  • Knafe Kaak in Station Park serves classic knafe inside kaak (Arabic sesame bagel).
  • La Tigre Neapolitan pizzeria, from Florentine, opened a branch on Basel Square. In addition to the traditional pizza selection, there is a lot of hype about the dessert menu, which features five types of tiramisu: classic, chocolate peanut, fresh berries, amarena cherry with pistachio, and lemon meringue.
  • Lookout is a rooftop bar and restaurant on top of the SRF Park surf club by Chef Uri Levy of Acosta event venue and former chef of Raisa. The menu includes American, Sri Lankan, Thai, Mexican, and Israeli food.
  • Lucky Chicken, the crispy chicken chain, opened its first branch in Tel Aviv. The menu will feature some new dishes, including chicken waffles, chicken Caesar, and chicken with salted caramel.
  • Marina Dallal is a fish and seafood restaurant in the Tel Aviv Marina, owned by the same people as Dallal in Neve Zedek.
  • Maza is a neighborhood bar in Nahalat Binyamin, serving mezze-style dishes. It is run by Chef Tomer Agay, former chef of Santa Catarina, and master mixologist Mor Koral designed the drinks menu.
  • Mifgash Shabi is a modern hamara bar in Florentine by Danielle Shabi Shamir.
  • Milano is an Italian bakery in Kiryat Ono owned by the same people as Pomo Conditoria.
  • Molam is a Thai bar owned by the same team behind Thai Har Sinai, located next to the restaurant in the Har Sinai complex.
  • Norish Cafe is in a renovated historic building on Allenby.
  • O. is a restaurant and bar on Rothschild Boulevard by Chef Tomer Agay, in the round building where Max Brenner used to be.
  • Obi is a food complex in the Yavne area, featuring an indoor area with a charcoal-grill kitchen, a lounge overlooking a custom-made DJ booth, an open courtyard, and a back bar. The kitchen is managed by Chef Didi Preminger, who is half-Japanese and serves his own unique twist on Japanese cuisine.
  • Okoko is a raw bar in the Sarona complex serving raw savoury and sweet dishes, freshly made nut butters, juices, and other healthy treats.
  • Omnia Brasserie is a Galilean steakhouse on Givon Square. I had a lovely business lunch, and sitting at the back of the restaurant on the square, enjoying the winter sun was especially lovely!
  • Oppenheimer is a neighborhood bistro in Ramat Aviv, led by Chef Yogev Gursoy.
  • Palette is a Parisian-style bistro in the Bazaar Hotel in Yafo.
  • Pranzo is a delicatessen on Basel Square.
  • Ramesses By The Box is the new incarnation of the Ramesses restaurant in Jaffa.
  • Rip Burger is a burger restaurant on Ben Yehuda.
  • Rivareno is a well-known Italian ice cream brand that opened its first store in Israel in Nahalat Binyamin.
  • Rova is a wine bar in Kiryat Ono, with sister branches in Tel Aviv and Hod Hasharon.
  • Sachi Ramen & Sushi is a Japanese fusion restaurant on Kikar Dizengoff.
  • Saka-Ba is an Izakaya bar in the Levinsky area, owned by the same people who own Men Tenten. It can seat 10 people, does not take reservations, and offers dishes for under NIS 70. 
  • Salud is a tapas and aperitivo bar in the Florentin neighborhood of Tel Aviv.
  • San Mai is Israel’s first gyoza bar, situated in Shuk HaCarmel, Tel Aviv.
  • Sedona is a California-style health cafe in Tel Aviv, serving smoothies, sandwiches, and pastries.
  • Sherry Herring has opened a second branch in the container complex at Jaffa Port.
  • Shila Cafe is a new cafe by Chef Sharon Cohen of Shila, next to the restaurant. While the prices at Shila are on the higher end, all dishes at the cafe are less than NIS 50.
  • Shimshon is a wine bar in a Neot Afeka shopping center, run by Chef Yaniv Caspi, founder of Hummus Caspi.
  • Siti Boulangerie has opened a second branch on Ben Yehuda in Tel Aviv.
  • Sorsetto is a wine bar on Haarbaa Street. During the day, it is open as a cafe and workspace, including outdoor seating on Givon Square.
  • Spicehaus Bar is a cocktail and food bar on Dizengoff Street in Tel Aviv, a reincarnation of the original Spicehaus bar across the street, which closed during Corona. There is a happy hour from 6-7 pm, Sunday through Thursday, with 30% off all food and drink.
  • Studio Gursha is a modern Pan-African restaurant in Yaffo that combines African dishes with Caribbean and Middle Eastern influences.
  • Suf is a food bar from the owners of Basta and Teder, in the Great Synagogue complex, replacing Santa Catarina.
  • Tabby’s is a burger restaurant on Lincoln Street in Tel Aviv.
  • Taco Ba is a taco restaurant in Shuk Levinsky, serving tacos, nachos, margaritas, and mojitos.
  • Telem is a bistro in G City, Kochav Hazafon, Tel Aviv, owned and operated by Chef Aner Ben Rafael Furman of Treysar. The restaurant is family-friendly, offering a diverse selection of Mediterranean and Levantine dishes.
  • The Grill Room TLV is a New York-style steakhouse in the Dan Tel Aviv Hotel. It is the non-kosher sister restaurant to The Grill Room in the King David Jerusalem Hotel. The menu features aged steaks, caviar, crab fritters, mussels, and oysters.
  • Weiss Restaurant has reopened on Herzl Street in Tel Aviv after being closed for several years.
  • Zaza is a wine bar in the Old Train Station, a partnership between Basket Catering and Wine Truck.
  • Zo is a large, high-end Asian restaurant on the corner of Nahalat Binyamin Street and Rothschild Boulevard. Its premium dishes include beef fillet, foie gras uramaki, and miso black cod.

New Non-Kosher Restaurant Openings in Central Israel – 2025

  • Austin Sandwiches is a sandwich and salad stall in the Kibbutz Galil Yam Food Truck.
  • Bakery Tel Yzhak has opened a second location in Moshav Havatzelet HaSharon, close to Road 2 north of Netanya.
  • Cafe Hagiva is a coffee cart on Kibbutz Netzer Sereni near Nes Ziona, open on Shabbat.
  • Capri is an Italian restaurant in Big Fashion Glilot, owned by the same team behind Pomo and Bar Italia.
  • Casa Bella is an Italian bistro and bar in Herzliya Marina.
  • Denver is a burger restaurant in Kfar Saba.
  • Ginza is an Asian restaurant and sushi bar in Herzliya Pituach.
  • HaYapani is a Japanese restaurant by Chef Guy Toledo in Alonit Complex in Mishmar HaSharon.
  • L’amore is an Italian restaurant in Rishon LeZion that serves oven-baked Neapolitan-style pizzas, pasta, salad, and sandwiches.
  • M25 is a steak restaurant in the G Complex in Kfar Saba that serves steaks, shawarma, bone marrow, and corned beef. It is a sister restaurant to M25 in Shuk HaCarmel and Ramat Aviv.
  • Muabet with Shahar & Almog is a coffee cart in Beit Herut (north of Netanya), in memory of Shahar Gindi and Almog Sarussi.
  • Pizza 46 is a NY-style pizza restaurant in Hod Hasharon serving classic flavors such as margherita, pepperoni, and mushrooms.
  • Pizza BaMirpeset is a pizzeria in Hutzot Shefayim complex, between Herzliya and Netanya.
  • San is a self-service Asian restaurant in the Zim Urban Complex in Ganei Tikva. It is the sister restaurant to Mojo and Mojo San (Kosher) in Netanya.
  • Shamna Glida is an ice cream parlor in Pardes Hana, owned by the same people as Studio Gelato. There is also a dessert menu featuring tiramisu and bread pudding, as well as a specials menu.
  • Shimi’s is a food truck on Michmoret Beach serving drinks and snacks.
  • Sparrow is a bakery, cafe, and wine bar in the Drorim Mall in Bnei Dror.
  • Suzana is a bistro located in Moshav Be’erotayim, Emek Hefer, by Chef Sivan Magen, serving brunch Sunday to Friday and dinner on Wednesday and Thursday night.
  • Sweet Box, the American dessert store, has opened a branch in Big Glilot Mall.
  • Thai Chu is a Thai restaurant in Petach Tikva that specializes in food from Eastern Thailand.
  • The Grand Café by Turqiz has opened a second branch in Big Fashion Glilot.
  • Tifosa is a takeaway Neopolitan pizza business in Gan Yavne open on Thursday and Saturday nights.
  • Twosome is a burger restaurant in Modi’in with interesting side dishes, including Korean wings, bone marrow, cheddar-jalapeno croquettes, and a chicken Caesar salad.

New Non-Kosher Restaurant Openings in the Galilee & North – 2025

  • Avo is a coffee cart opposite an avocado orchard on Moshav Bezet near Rosh Hanikra, open on Shabbat.
  • BBQ Mirage is a shawarma and grilled meat restaurant in the Druze town of Isfiya, south of Haifa. It used to be a small store but has reopened as a comfortable restaurant. The shwarma is cooked horizontally over a coal fire, rather than vertically.
  • Cafe Cocen is a coffee cart with beautiful scenery in Chorazim, just north of Kinneret.
  • Challawlaw is a coffee cart in a cedar grove on Moshav Odem in the Golan.
  • Cheeky Carlo is a pizza and wine bar in the Caesaria Marina overlooking the sea.
  • Dag Al Hadan Deli is a fish delicatessen next to the Dag Al Hadan restaurant on the Dan River. The deli serves homemade and locally sourced products like smoked salmon, salmon and sturgeon caviar, herring, olives, and olive oil.
  • Domo is a Japanese restaurant on the main street of Kiryat Haim run by Chef Matan Bell of Mizumi in Tiveria.
  • Drinkeria is a cocktail bar in Pardes Hanna by mixologist Noam Hass, who makes his own gin, brown butter distillate,  yuzu liquor, and spirits, and there are cocktails on tap. His grandparents’ house inspires the decor with vintage furniture and ornaments, and the dairy dishes are based on traditional family recipes.
  • Esterika is a coffee cart in the Drom HaSharon Regional Council Complex near Hod HaSharon.
  • Factory 54 Café opened in Big Fashion Glilot.
  • Funky is a ramen restaurant in Kiryat Motzkin.
  • Gan Bira is a beer garden on Kibbutz  Ein Zivan serving beers from local breweries, along with snacks.
  • Hamasgeriais a burger bar on Kibbutz  Tel Yosef near Beit She’an.
  • Jacques is a deli on Kibbutz Gesher Haziv, owned by Gouje and Daniel.
  • Klara is a Greek tavern in Talpiot Market in Haifa.
  • Loulou Kibbutzteria is an Italian trattoria on Kibbutz Amir in the Upper Galil.
  • Mala Rooftop is a Japanese rooftop restaurant in Ramat Yishai, featuring a swimming pool and offering panoramic views of the surrounding Galilean countryside.
  • Mezclado is a Mexican cocktail bar in Haifa, offering a diverse menu of dishes, including meat, fish, seafood, and vegetarian options.
  • Mishka is a bistro at the entrance to Kibbutz Yifat in the Jezreel Valley.
  • Mosh Thai House is a Thai restaurant on Mosh Beach Achziv.
  • Nord 26 is a Nordic restaurant in Talpiot Market in Haifa.
  • Ooga is a cafe and pastry shop in Haifa.
  • Raia is a wine bar on Kibbutz Degania Aleph.
  • Ranch House is a steakhouse at the Mizpe Hayamin Hotel in Rosh Pina. The food is all kosher, but the restaurant is open on Shabbat, so it is without a hechsher. The menu is similar to the branches in Eilat and the Dead Sea.
  • Salem Pizza is a pizza restaurant in the Tavor Winery complex, owned by the owners of the nearby PTSD wine bar.
  • Samra Cafe is a coffee roastery in Downtown Haifa.
  • Sana is an Asian restaurant located on Kibbutz Degania Bet, owned by the same owners as 1910.
  • Serra Café is a cafe and bakery in the village of Rameh near Karmiel.
  • Tempratura is a Texas-style smoked meat restaurant in a wooden cabin between Isfiya and Daliyat Al-Carmel, with valley views.
  • Yanek Burger has opened a stand in the Meggido Cultural Center in Ein Shofet. The burger stand has been operating in Kibbutz Yifat in the Jezreel Valley for several years. The complex also has a new coffee cart with vegetarian and dairy food, without a kashrut license.

New Non-Kosher Restaurant Openings in the South & Negev – 2025

  • Botz is a fine-dining restaurant in Mizpe Ramon by Chefs Omer Seltzer and Tal Ashkenazi, serving a 10-course tasting menu for NIS 450 per person, using local ingredients. The restaurant seats 20 people and is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights.
  • Casa Playa is a beach club and restaurant in Ashkelon.
  • Lilie is a beach restaurant in The Reef Eilat Hotel, open for lunch and dinner.
  • Lisa is a bar in Ashdod that serves 40 brands of beer and offers bar food such as fish and chips, hot dogs, burgers, schnitzel, and steaks.
  • Rachter Wine Bar is a wine bar in the Rachter Center in Eilat.
  • Sazanca is an Asian restaurant in the Big Fashion Ashdod complex, the 9th restaurant from the Kisu Group, and the largest so far. The group includes Fu Sushi, Naylon, Kisu, and Enzo.
  • Zanzi is a rooftop bar with an Italian menu, on the roof of the Spiral Lighthouse in the South of Eilat, overlooking the Red Sea.
