Top 10 Pizza Places in Jerusalem

A Selection of the Best Pizza in Jerusalem.

Before discussing where to get the best pizza in Jerusalem, I need to make one important caveat. I grew up in London, where pizza is Italian food. Just like hummus and falafel in the Middle East, everyone has their favorite place, and you will never get everyone to agree. So I want to make it very clear that this is my personal selection. My criteria for good pizza are a nice, crispy base, good-flavored sauce, and fresh, gooey cheese. I don’t care if it is Neopolitan, Roman, New York, or Chicago-style pizza; this list just focuses on where to find the best pizza in Jerusalem

Here is my list of the best pizzas in Jerusalem:

Craft Pizza is a pizza restaurant in town serving traditional Neopolitan-style pizza with a lovely sourdough base and flavorful sauce. Some interesting toppings include grilled zucchini, beetroot, kalamata olives, pineapple, and chili, with a great spicy salsa on the side. The restaurant also serves great pasta, salads, and cocktails, making it a great spot for a fun dinner with friends.

Craft Pizza, 1 Shlomtzion Street, 02 648 0924.

A pizzeria owned by Chakra’s owners, Pizza by Chakra, serves classic pizzas. The menu features side salads and Italian desserts, including tiramisu and affogato. The pizza lives up to the hype and is even delicious when delivered.

Pizza by Chakra, 39 Hillel Street, 077 980 0427

A Roman-style pizza restaurant near the Iriah in the City Center. The menu includes a variety of white-based pizza, red-based pizza, salads, and desserts. Here is Anthony’s Pizza English menu. Individual pizzas are 35 cm in diameter, and slices are also available. They have some seating inside and outside, but it has a very takeaway feel. The texture and flavor of the pizza base are great, and I really like the selection of toppings and how well it delivers.

Anthony’s Pizza, 4 Shoshan Street, 02 6201300, order delivery via Wolt.

As well as enjoying the pizza at La Piedra, I also like the salads, which are perfect to share along with the pizza. The menu also includes fresh homemade pasta. It is a nice and cozy place for dinner. Pizzas range in price from NIS 38 to 65.

La Piedra, 1 Agron Street, 1 700 505 678.

The expression not judging a book by its cover really applies to this store. I walked past so many times without being tempted to try the pizza until a friend told me I had to, and I couldn’t believe how good it was. They have round and rectangular pizza pies with a crispy base and some great flavor toppings. My favorite is the pizza Bianca with a cream sauce, and I love the potato, cauliflower, and roasted pepper toppings.

Metudela Pizza, 1 Binyamin Metudela Street, 02 563 5551.

The original Pizzeria Flora branch near the shuk has a fun atmosphere and good food. The traditional Neapolitan pizza is available with a selection of fixed toppings, including my favorite portobello mushrooms, champignon & truffle oil. You can also build your own pizza with classic toppings, as well as more interesting options like zucchini, garlic confit, blue cheese, asparagus, and a soft-boiled egg. They also serve amazing complimentary homemade chocolate truffles with the bill.

Pizzeria Flora, 2 HaDekel Street, 02 622 2216; 25 Azza Street, 02 664 5533, order online.

  • P2 (Not Kosher)

P2 serves Italian thin-crust pizza in the heart of Jerusalem and offers gluten-free pizza. Other interesting dishes include Panzanella salad, calzone, and gnocchi. The P2 English menu is available on their website, and every dish can be ordered as a vegan or gluten-free option for no extra charge. They recently started delivering to most of Jerusalem.

P2, 36 Keren Hayesod Street, 02 563 5555.

I really like the crispy base of the traditional Rome-style square pizza, and I particularly love their pizza Bianca with potato and rosemary. They also serve homemade pasta, gnocchi, lasagne, and  Italian desserts. This is just a takeout pizza parlor.

Pakino, 1 Shamai Street & 8 Agripas Street, 053 286 7598.

Chili Pizza has been around for several years. The fast-food place serves a traditional range of toppings to satisfy non-kosher consumers, such as ham and pineapple, pepperoni and cheese, bacon and eggs, and spicy beef and sweetcorn. They have ready-made pizzas by the slice and but the freshly made individual pizzas are much better, although I find the base undercooked. They also have some pasta and dessert on the menu.

Delivery 7 days a week. Order online. Chili Pizza English menu.

Chili Pizza, 28 Hillel Street, 02 625 4040

    • The pizza place at Cinema City
The pizza place at Cinema City Jerusalem is DELPICIOUS. Family members of various ages agree.

  1. A major omission is Red Pizza in the German Colony. It’s mix of sauce and cheese is perfect. My wife is from New Haven Connecticut which has the best pizza in the world and she agrees with your number 1, but Red is definitely #2. You should try it.

  2. Mehadrin/ On Betzalel about 2 years – called 770 Pizza – the crust well baked / juicy filling- try it

  3. You need to try Anthony’s pizza on shoshan street in the city center- it just opened and it’s amazing 🙂

  4. Rendez Vous is the best pizza in Jerusalem (in this poster’s unhumble opinion at least).
