Israel Restaurant Openings 2024

A Roundup of the Key Israel Restaurant Openings in 2024.

The word used to describe Israel for the past year has been resilience. Although some restaurants have closed due to the war and lack of tourism, most of the culinary news over the past year has been positive, with several exciting restaurant openings across Israel. This year, the trends leaned heavily toward Japanese restaurants, wine bars, and more bakeries. From Tel Aviv’s vibrant eateries showcasing innovative takes on global flavors to Jerusalem’s focus on traditional dishes with modern twists, the new openings reflect a dynamic interplay between heritage and contemporary culinary artistry.

I have included my thoughts on the places I have already eaten at. I would love your feedback on whether you have tried any of the restaurants on this list. Comment below or share a review on Restaurant Club Israel or Restaurant Club Jerusalem.

Here is a list of the most significant restaurant openings in Israel during 2024:

Kosher Israel Restaurant Openings

  • Agripas 15 is a dairy restaurant on the roof of the Agripas Boutique Hotel on Rehov Agripas by the owners of Miss & Mr (in Kikar Hamusica). On a Thursday night, they have a minimum spend of NIS 250 per person, which is, in my opinion, a vast exaggeration.
  • Alali is a meat restaurant/bar/club in Tel Aviv that seats 200 diners and features a DJ every night. It is owned by the same group as Miss & Mr and Agripas 15 restaurants in Jerusalem. The restaurant requires a minimum spend of NIS 350 per diner from Sunday to Tuesday and until 10 p.m. on Thursday, after which the minimum increases to NIS 450 per person. Conveniently, the Alali English menu does not have any prices.
